Redeye’s uncle was a disco dj in Austin who often played synthesizers and keyboards around him as a child. And anytime he visited his grandmother, Scott (redeye) made a b-line for the music room in the house. His grandmother, who was a classically trained pianist and singer, encouraged Scott to experiment with music at an early age. The early exposure to music in combination with experiencing the vibe at Starck prompted Scott to begin working the decks and playing around with different kinds of gear in the studio. Fast forward about 15 years and Red Eye has made a considerable name for himself world wide. Not only that, but unlike so many Dallas producers that seem to be more popular outside of Texas, Scott is very much admired by *Dallas* dance music lovers… ‘cept ‘round these parts we just call him Scotty.
